Power Up: It's a Mother-Daughter Thing!

In October 2015, Central Six Development Council Alabama Workforce Council Region 4, Girls Inc. of Central Alabama, Robins & Morton and AIDT/AWTC formed a collaborative partnership to present “Power UP: It’s a Mother Daughter Thing!” The first year was a tremendous success with over 300 attendees, employer partners and training providers.  Our second annual event promises to educate, engage and encourage more mothers and daughters to explore career opportunities in the construction industry through one on one dialogue with successful women and employers in the field of construction and also hands on activities which reflect real-world scenarios.

Power Up Founder: Mittie Cannon, Ed.D
Special Guest: Kayleen McCabe
